Two of us, one bag each,
nowhere to be by Friday.
We're Prab and Parker — two friends from the UK who realised the best parts of every trip were the ones nobody planned: the second week in a place, the café that starts pouring your order before you ask, the neighbour who tells you which market stall to skip.
So we stopped travelling fast. Now we pick a place, rent a flat for a month or more, and live there — working, cooking, getting mildly lost — before moving to the next stop. This journal is the honest record: what it costs, what works, what we'd do differently.
What you'll find here
- Monthly cost breakdowns — real numbers for rent, food, and transport in each place.
- Long-stay guides — how to find flats, SIMs, insurance, and a routine that sticks.
- Slow travel thinking — why staying longer is cheaper, calmer, and better.
